Control Systems Engineer

Manukau, Auckland, New Zealand

As a control systems engineer, you will be part of a team working at the bleeding edge of hydrofoil flight control. You will spend your days tackling interesting and diverse engineering problems and working quickly to deliver outputs to the highest standard.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Flight controller design, development and implementation

  • Design and implementation of sensing and actuation systems for prototype and production vessels.

  • Assisting with on-water testing and tuning of prototype vessels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Mechatronics, mechanical, or aerospace engineering degree or equivalent.

  • 2+ years experience in a control systems role - or a very good personal project portfolio.

  • Proven ability to tackle challenging projects with a broad scope and see them through to completion.

  • A willingness to work effectively with a team, especially under the pressure of tight deadlines.

  • A level head and ability to look at problems from first principles.

  • Be comfortable with the unknown, the new, the different and the ever-changing.
